Four Four Time 2010 Celebrating 25 years together, Altan have established themselves as one of the most important live acts to play traditional Irish music on the world stage. Founded as a quartet with the late Frankie Kennedy on flute, Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh, on fiddle and songs, joined by Ciaran Curran on bouzouki, Mark Kelly and Dáithí Sproule, Altan were later joined by Paul O’Shaughnessy on fiddle and Ciaran Tourish on fiddle and whistle, Altan continue to lead the way in Celtic music both in Ireland and the US.
